This was a clear signal to me that my employees’ health must be a priority, and I immediately took action to get them tested.
I wanted to express my gratitude to Sigma Tactical Wellness, Dr. Sheinberg, and the team. I had an LP-PLA2 of 170, alarmingly high, which finally made me agree with my three other doctors to take a statin. After losing 70 pounds and working out every day, I realize I can’t change genetics. More importantly, this was a wake-up call I needed and seeing that my department had a positive LP-PLA2 rate of 62% is downright scary. As a Police Chief, it is now my mission to make sure they reach retirement and can enjoy their lives and families.
